Subaru Safety for Dogs!

Subaru considers safety a top priority in the development in
each of its models. Subaru is the only manufacture to have successfully been
awarded a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety in every
model in the Subaru lineup. Not Only that, but Subaru has completed this feat
for four consecutive years, and so far Subaru is on track to make it a 5th
consecutive year.
This attitude about safety also applies to our four legged
friends. That is why Subaru has partnered with the Center for Pet Safety to
make our barking companions safer while riding with us.
Edmunds.com had this to say about the newly formed
partnership:
Although there are
numerous products on the market intended to restrain pets or otherwise ensure
their safety during car rides, to date there have been no testing standards for
such products and thus no way to substantiate manufacturers' claims. Subaru's new
initiative will devise testing protocols, establish standards and publicize
those products that perform best.
With funding from
Subaru, the Center plans to develop standards that can be used by manufacturers
to create products that are significantly more effective at ensuring the safety
of pets while traveling.
